Having been registered with Southborough Lane surgery for many years I am pleased to see how it has progressed since moving to new premises. I have experienced the high level of care that is offered to patients having recently received this from both Dr George and Dr Waheed. From the reception staff I have also received tremendous assistance from Kathy, whose persistence and experience enabled me to regain access to their online services. I thank you all for your excellent service

I am so lucky to be a patient at this practice.The receptionists are incredibly accommodating and helpful. I have always been able to see a duty doctor when I need to and I have never left the surgery feeling that my needs have not been met.The doctors are so hard working.Dr H Patel has recently provided me with the most professional and sensitive service I could wish for.I am so grateful to the surgery and it's staff.They are stars,they totally embody everything that the NHS represents,they are a lifeline for the community.

It used to be easy to get an appointment in advance, but currently with their new Patient Access system from June 2018 it is a 'mission impossible' to find anything online. Quite a nuisance! This really needs to be sorted.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. All of our appointments bookable in advance are made available online and they are also bookable via phone. I am unsure how far in advance you are trying to book, but we did change our appointment system some time ago to try and reduce the amount of DNA's that occur due to appointments being booked too far in advance, so you can only book up to two weeks ahead of time now. This has reduced the amount of DNAs and so means less appointments are wasted. It will obviously be more difficult to book in advance if you are looking for specific GPs who could possibly be on holiday or away for some other reason and, if that were the case, no appointments would show as available for them. I used the online booking service for the first time today (at 8.00am ) I was able to set up my account and book an appointment in less than 5 minutes . A good selection of time slots were available and I was able to select the time most suitable for me . I will definitely use this service again and would recommend it .

Many of our patients do prefer this way of communicating and we actively encourage patients to sign up online. I am sure you are already aware of this, but it's worth remembering that you do need to bring proof of identity to the surgery when you attend the appointment, so that you are verified online and then can continue to use the service. I like this GP practice, and particularly would like to thank two doctors - Dr H Patel and Dr M Collins - for their always very kind, attentive and considerate advice and welcoming attitude. They always explain things very clearly and professionally and listen to patients well. I have been with this GP practice for over 12 years now, and it has improved a lot, moving into a new purpose-built better suited building. Appointments system is clear, and you can book either online or via the phone, and appointments are often available on the day, particularly in emergency. I would highly recommend this surgery.
